Dyes for cotton, linen, wool, viscose and silk fabrics at 40°C.
Suitable for small-sized fabrics and garments, such as blouses, shirts and T-shirts, as well as for craft projects.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE – WASHING MACHINE
Weigh the dry fabric and wash it thoroughly before dyeing. Wearing rubber gloves, empty the dye directly into the washing machine drum and add 500 g of salt over the dye powder. Some RIDA shades already contain salt; check the pack.
Place the damp, unfolded fabric in the drum and run a 40°C cotton cycle, without pre-wash, economy or half-load settings.
When the cycle is complete, add detergent and run another 40°C cotton cycle. Remove the fabric and dry away from direct heat and sunlight.
Run the washing machine empty once more at 40°C with detergent to clean the drum.
1 pack dyes up to 500 g of fabric to full shade or up to 1.5 kg to a lighter shade.
* For dark shades, we recommend dyeing at 60°C to achieve a more stable and long-lasting result.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE – HAND DYEING
Weigh and wash the fabric, leaving it damp. Wearing rubber gloves, dissolve the dye in 500 ml hot water and pour into the dyeing container.
Dissolve 500 g of salt and 1 sachet of fixative in hot water, add to the dye bath and mix well.
Add the damp, unfolded fabric and stir continuously for 1 hour, keeping it submerged. Rinse with cold water until the water runs clear and dry away from direct sunlight.
