Flexible Silicone Rubber
To make your own molds of all kinds (for wax, soap, decorative objects) except food molds.
In liquid form. The set includes 1 kg of silicone and 20 g of catalyst. It is semi- transparent and produces flexible molds for an easier unmolding of your objects.
Clarifications:
Catalyst usage rate: 2% (100 g of silicone corresponds to 2 g of catalyst).
No less catalyst because the mold does not harden.
No more catalyst because the mold shrinks.
Very good mixing is required so that these 2 materials can become a mixture. If for some reason they have not been mixed well, there is a risk that the mold will remain liquid in some places.
Be very careful in the way you pour the silicone mixture into the model. Pour from above and if bubbles appear, break them with a needle or wooden straw.
Catalyst exposure to oxygen: No because it causes crystals. When using the catalyst, immediately close the packaging.
Silicone mold exposure to sunlight: No because the mold deteriorates.
If the mold is distorted, it does not return to its original shape nor is there a way to correct it, so be very careful in its construction and storage.
Silicone works properly at a temperature of 25 degrees. At higher temperatures, the handling time is reduced and the hardening is accelerated to such an extent that we do not have time to empty it into the mold before it hardens.
Also, the silicone should be stored in a place with a temperature of 20-25 degrees, e.g. in an air-conditioned room.
