Sorbitol is a naturally occurring polyol (sugar alcohol) found in many fruits, particularly berries. In cosmetic formulations, it is widely used as a humectant and texture-enhancing ingredient, helping to retain moisture while providing a smooth, velvety skin feel.

It is an excellent alternative to glycerin in many formulations, including facial toners, cleansing lotions, creams, gels, and other personal care products.
