INCI: Zinc Oxide
Pharmaceutical grade Zinc oxide, in powder form.
It is produced from the reaction between oxygen and zinc, which forms a white powder, insoluble in water.
It is widely used as a pigment, while "It is considered to be mildly antimicrobial, wound healing and sun-protective ".
This specific form is particularly used in baby care products (diaper change creams) or burn care products. It cannot be used as a sunscreen filter.
Usage rate: Use at a rate of 10%, through dispersion in the oil phase of the cosmetic formulation.
