Lime Essential Oil

Lime Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the peel of the Citrus aurantifolia fruit. It is distinguished by its fresh, vibrant, and lively citrus aroma with crisp green notes that create a clean and energising atmosphere. Major producing countries include Spain, Italy, and Mexico.

Traditionally used in perfumery, aromatherapy, and cosmetic formulations, Lime essential oil is valued for its refreshing and uplifting fragrance. It is particularly popular in skincare products formulated for oily and combination skin, helping maintain a fresh and healthy-looking complexion. Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the fruit peel.

Origin: Spain, Italy, and Mexico.

Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. Because this is a steam-distilled Lime essential oil, it is generally regarded as non-phototoxic, unlike cold-pressed Lime oil. However, individuals with sensitive skin may experience mild irritation, so a patch test is recommended before topical application.

Blends beautifully with Bergamot, Geranium, Ginger, Jasmine, Lavender, Mandarin, Neroli, Palmarosa, Peppermint, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Orange, Lemon, Lemongrass, and May Chang essential oils.
