Orange Essential Oil

INCI: Citrus aurantium var. sinensis

Sweet Orange Essential Oil is obtained from the peel of Citrus aurantium var. sinensis, typically through cold pressing. In some cases, it undergoes additional distillation to improve stability and reduce naturally occurring photoreactive compounds. It is celebrated for its sweet, juicy, fruity, and uplifting aroma, making it one of the most popular essential oils in aromatherapy, natural perfumery, and skincare.

It is widely incorporated into skincare formulations for normal and combination skin, helping maintain the skin's natural balance and healthy appearance. Extraction Method: Cold pressing of the fruit peel (sometimes followed by additional distillation).

Origin: Algeria, Spain, and Latin America.

Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. Sweet Orange essential oil has a very low risk of phototoxicity, particularly when distilled. Nevertheless, avoiding prolonged sun exposure after extensive topical application is recommended as a precaution.

Blends beautifully with all citrus essential oils, as well as Geranium, Lavender, Rosemary, Palmarosa, Rose, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang, Tea Tree, Clove, Frankincense, Ginger, and Jasmine essential oils.
