INCI: THYMUS HIEMALIS LEAF OIL
Origin: Chile, South America, Mediterranean. It is produced by steam distillation of the fresh-cut leaves of the plant. Common names include Verbena and Lemon Verbena. Its odor resembles that of lemongrass. It should not be confused with the Vervain plant( or Holy herb), whose Latin name is Verbena Officinalis.
Indications: Very good antiseptic and cleanser, tonic, and excellent for acne or individual pimples. Also ideal for muscle pains and aches.
Contraindications: It is irritant and should be avoided by those with sensitive skin. It's phototoxic.
Synergy with other essential oils: Lemon, Neroli, Palmarosa, Lavender, Tea tree, and citrus fruits.
