INCI: Ocimum basilicum
Origin-Indications: The plant originates from Asian countries with India as its main, but now grows everywhere in Europe. The essential oil is mainly produced by steam distillation of the plant's leaves. Good insect repellent, very good for muscle aches. Beneficial against cold symptoms.
Contraindications: Should be used with great caution, very low dosage is required. Its use is not allowed during pregnancy, and by people with sensitive skin.
Synergy with other essential oils: Black pepper, Bergamot, Cedar, Fennel, Ginger, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Neroli.
