INCI: Sodium Lactate
It is the sodium salt of lactic acid, which is formed by lactic fermentation of sugars.
60% solution.
Sodium lactate is used as a natural additive in cold-process soap production. It hardens the soap faster, facilitates its removal from the mold and improves its final texture.
Usage rate: add 1% into the caustic soda solution at 35ºC.
