Lemongrass Essential Oil

INCI: Cymbopogon citratus

Lemongrass Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of the aromatic grass Cymbopogon citratus. It is renowned for its fresh, vibrant, lemony, and herbaceous aroma, which creates a clean and uplifting atmosphere. The principal producing countries include India and Guatemala.

Traditionally used in home fragrance and personal care products, Lemongrass essential oil is appreciated for its refreshing and invigorating scent. It is commonly incorporated into massage oils to provide a revitalising sensation after physical activity and is widely used in natural insect-repellent formulations. Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the leaves.

Origin: India and Guatemala.

Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. However, it may cause mild skin irritation in sensitive individuals, so a patch test is recommended before topical application.
