INCI: Eugenia caryophyllata (syn. Syzygium aromaticum)
Clove Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried flower buds and, in some cases, the leaves of Eugenia caryophyllata. It is renowned for its intensely warm, spicy, and rich aroma, making it a highly valued ingredient in perfumery and fragrance creation. Indonesia is one of the world's principal producers of Clove essential oil.
Traditionally used in perfumery, aromatherapy, and cosmetic formulations, Clove essential oil is prized for its warm, comforting, and sensual fragrance. It is appreciated for its cleansing properties and is typically incorporated in small amounts into soaps, massage oils, oral care products, natural perfumes, and seasonal fragrance blends. Its rich spicy profile pairs exceptionally well with woody, citrus, and oriental fragrance accords.
Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the flower buds or leaves.
Origin: Indonesia.
Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. However, due to its naturally high eugenol content, it may cause skin irritation or sensitisation, particularly on sensitive skin. It should always be used at low dilution levels, and a patch test is recommended before topical application.
Blends beautifully with Cinnamon, Grapefruit, Lemon, Orange, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Frankincense essential oils.

Use: Dissolve the powder into 500 ml of deionized water. Then use a small amount (approx. 50 ml) of the solution while immersing the pH-meter into it, in order to adjust it.
